Why you ask, did the saber-toothed tiger go extinct? Because, my friends – what reputable dentist is gonna agree to work on these teeth? Besides, there was no dental insurance plans back in those days. And even if there was, who would insure a Velociraptor or an Allosaurus? Let’s face it folks, how threatening is a toothless saber-toothed tiger gonna be anyway?

Some paleontologists of late are beginning to question the long-accepted theory that an asteroid caused the demise of the dinosaurs 65 million years ago. My personal belief is that it wasn’t wasn’t really an asteroid – it was smoking. Many people don’t realize these beasts were quite heavy smokers – and they smoked unfiltered Camels, which is kind of ironic when you consider there were no camels back in those days – but I digress. The fact is, smoking is not only thought to have killed off the dinosaurs, but also Dinah Shore – who was rumored to have had a two pack a day habit.

It is becoming widely believed that many dinosaurs, including some of the most ferocious ones, were covered in colorful feathers. And while I’m no paleontologist, my guess is that much of the world must have been a fabulous, frolicking dinosaur La Cage aux Folles back then. The fact is that most people living today are simply not aware that there were persistent rumors during the Jurassic Period that many of the dinosaurs were actually cross-dressers.
