About Rubbish In, Robish Out!

Johnny Robish is an actor, comedian and political satirist, who is well known in some circles as one of America’s most trusted sources – for fake news.

Now, don’t be fooled by those cheap imposters.  Read what some very important people (aka VIPs) have been saying about us – right behind our backs.

Rubbish In, Robish Out! began long ago as a collaboration between LA actor and comic Johnny Robish and Austria’s Archduke Franz Ferdinand.  With the untimely assassination of the Archduke in 1914 at the hands of anarchist Gavrilo Princip at Sarajevo, the website has become the sole responsibility of Johnny Robish himself. Rubbish In, Robish Out! was designed to be a place where people could come and waste hours and hours of their precious time, reading worthless perspectives on current events, all the while gaining very little in terms of knowledge or insight into the subject matter about which they had just read.  At Rubbish In, Robish Out!, we feel we have accomplished this task.

Although he has many other interests, Johnny Robish is a committed writer who has often said that “the only time I’m truly happy is when I’m sitting in front of a typewriter.  Unfortunately, there are no typewriters anymore – so I’m just miserable all the time.”  While living in Hawaii in the mid-2000’s, Johnny wrote a weekly humor column entitled “Kauai Komedy” for Kauai’s main newspaperThe Garden Island” before returning to California and being named “Blogger of the Year” by AARP in 2012.  Johnny adds that “I grew up in Canton, Ohio, a place that’s so polluted, that you couldn’t even drink the water.  Therefore, it was always my dream to escape that digusting environment and move instead to an area where you couldn’t breath the air – which is why I ended up here in LA.”

Once a favorite at comedy clubs all over the western United States, Johnny rarely does stand-up any longer because “I always felt that every time I’d get on stage, people were laughing at me.”  Johnny’s humor has been published in such diverse venues as the LA Times “Laugh Lines,” Patch Newspapers, medical journals, trade publications, dozens of company newsletters and humor magazines.

You may also find Johnny at numerous internet locations including scores of local Patch online community newspapers as well as popular blogging sites such as MediumJokeBlogger.ComDailyComedy.Com, TumblrThe FunnyFirm.ComHow Sick Is That? Our Salon.Com, WriteHere and the late Peter Bergman’s Radio Free OZ which also featured TV’s John Goodman, Edie McClurg and Paul Krassner.  Johnny has also written for road comics including Taylor Negron, Mel Kohl, Marti Schauer and Jere Evans.

Also a working actor, people frequently ask Johnny “what made you decide to get into acting?”  The answer is quite simple, “I have always felt there aren’t nearly enough movie stars relative to the general population, so I made the decision to volunteer myself and help fill in that gap.”  Talk about being civic-minded!
